MITZI MEAD, CEO/PRESIDENT
Mitzi Mead is a senior executive with over 30 years experience in the federal IT marketplace. She is the CEO of Anakim Consulting and provides the strategic leadership of both the IT Support Services and Business Development Consulting Divisions of the company.
Ms. Mead is an active member of the Washington Information Technology community. She was the Chair of the Industry Advisory Council’s (IAC) Executive Committee from 2017 to 2018 and was a board member from 2013 to 2019. She served on the board of the Association for Federal Information Resources Management (AFFIRM) from 2007 to 2013. She was the Industry Chair of the IAC’s Partners Class of 2004, 2005, 2020 and Vice Chair in 2003. She served as the IAC Fellows Chair from 2008 to 2010. She is an IAC Fellow as an alumna of the IAC Partners Class of 2001.
In both 2002 and 2018, she received a Federal 100 award for her commitment to the federal IT community. She received the IAC Individual Contributor of the Year Award in 2002 and won the prestigious ACT-IAC Industry Executive Leadership Award (in the Spirit of Janice Mendenhall) in 2018.

SANDY MESTRE,
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT
Sandy Mestre is a seasoned business development executive with more than three decades of experience driving growth for federal and commercial information technology services organizations. She has held senior leadership roles in direct sales and business development, leading strategic growth initiatives across both commercial markets and the Federal government. Ms. Mestre is recognized for cultivating strategic relationships that generate new business opportunities, increase revenue, and support sustained corporate growth.
Throughout her career, Ms. Mestre has been actively engaged in industry organizations. She has held multiple volunteer positions with ACT-IAC and AFCEA, served on the Board of the Association for Federal Information Resources Management (AFFIRM) from 2020 to 2024, and was Industry Co-Chair for the Professional Services Organization Department of Commerce Vision Team from 2021 to 2025. She currently serves on the FORUM Industry Advisory Council and was honored with the FORUM Women in Leadership award in 2025.
